We take pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. As the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation continues to develop in South Africa, the safety of our staff and guests remains our top priority. We would like to assure you that THE CAPETONIAN is taking top precautionary measures in line with global and local public health authorities. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Enhanced cleaning and hygiene practices in public areas and guest rooms
  • Increased frequency of cleaning high-touch and common use areas (including lobbies, elevators, door handles, public bathrooms, etc.)
  • Hand sanitiser made accessible to guests in all public areas, with encouraging regular use by staff
  • Educating staff on the importance of effective hygiene measures
  • Staff instructed to limit cash handling and facilitate other transaction methods where possible, with regular hand sanitation
  • Protective gloves issued to housekeeping whilst on duty (cleaning between guest rooms and bathrooms)
  • Continue to adjust our F&B service in-line with food handling & safety recommendations
  • Informed staff of effective social distancing methods to be used within the hotel
  • Avoiding close contact with anyone showing symptoms and to act swiftly should we be alerted to any COVID-19 cases at THE CAPETONIAN, by contacting the NICD hotline immediately
